Good Manufacturing Certificate Labeling
The United States Food, Drugs & Cosmetic Act requires that all aesthetic products display information
about ingredients, appropriate use, supplier, set number, and any type of necessary warnings. The Code of
Federal Regulations also has demands in relation to labeling.
These are the requirements for appropriate labeling of cosmetic products:
- The primary screen panel has, in addition to the name of the item, the declarations of identity and
internet contents.
- If the safety and security of the product have actually not been properly confirmed, there is a "Caution
- The security of this item has not been identified" on the primary display screen panel.
- The information panel consists of a list of active ingredients if it is customarily sold to consumers
for consumption at home.
- The information panel contains the name and address of the company manufacturing and/or distributing the
product.
- The details panel consists of any kind of cautioning declarations needed by 21 CFR (Code of Federal
Laws) 740.11, 740.12, and 740.17.
- The directions for secure use of the product should be clear and reasonable.
- If the product is a coal-tar hair dye, include the caution declaration of sec 601( a) from the Food
Medication & Cosmetic Act
